Today, members of the Plumlife team alongside their colleagues from Great Places Housing Group, are heading down to the capital the prestigious Inside Housing Development Awards.
Water Mill Gardens is up for the ‘Best Shared Ownership Development’ award, Plumlife are proud to have worked on this fantastic development alongside partners, Cube Homes and Great Places. The Plumlife team loved building a community around Water Mill Gardens and ensuring buyers had a great experience moving into these affordable homes.
As well as having become a fantastic place to live, Water Mill Gardens is special because it is steeped in history. The development is located off Kersal Vale Road and close to the River Irwell, it was built on the site of the first Cussons soap factory established in 1905. The site was once a bustling space that employed many local people and Cussons products went on to become a household name, but this factory closed over a decade ago.
Of the 109 homes on the development, 26 homes were designed and marketed specifically for Shared Ownership.
The development has proven incredibly popular with customers and local people, all the Shared Ownership properties were reserved off-plan.
The Inside Housing Development Awards ceremony takes place at the Royal Lancaster in London, and it’s an especially exciting day because Plumlife partners Great Places, are also shortlisted in the Best regeneration project of over 100 homes for their work in the Mill Hill area of Blackburn.
