Furniture placement is a critical decision when choosing your living room furniture. Most living rooms are multi-purpose – for relaxing, chatting, entertaining and watching TV. We’ve provided an easy guide to consider when selecting new furniture for your living room.
Find your focal point, whether that be the TV or a fire place, choose your preferred layout ensuring it is user-friendly and that it best compliments the room to maximise space. You must then measure up the available space in the room, and note down the maximum sizes each piece of furniture can be, such as a TV stand and coffee table.
Finally, you must budget. Buying brand new can be costly and if, like many, you have a small budget, it might be worth checking out Facebook market place or local furniture charity shops for any bargains in your area. If you have some cash to spare, shops such as Ikea, Next and Made.com are a great place to look.
